Howdy, partner! At the Chicago Stockyards Trading Company, we want you to be 100% satisfied with your gear. Whether you're getting saddled up for the ranch or kickin' around town, your comfort and confidence are what matter most. If your purchase isn't the perfect fit, we're here to help.
The Quick Draw: Our Policy at a Glance
Return Window: You have 30 calendar days from the date of delivery to initiate a return or exchange.
Item Condition: Items must be in new, unworn, and unwashed condition with all original tags and packaging intact.
Options: We offer refunds, exchanges, or store credit.
Return Shipping: Customers are responsible for return shipping costs, unless the item is defective or we made a mistake with your order. Original shipping fees are non-refundable.
Exceptions: Final Sale, Clearance, and custom items cannot be returned.
The Full Rundown: Detailed Policy
1. Return Eligibility & Conditions
To be eligible for a return, your item(s) must be in the same condition you received them:
Unworn, unwashed, and unaltered.
Free of any stains, pet hair, deodorant marks, or smoke/perfume odors.
All original tags must be attached and packaging must be intact.
Special Considerations for Certain Items:
Apparel (Shirts, T-Shirts, etc.): Clothing must be returned in its original, unworn condition. Please be mindful of makeup, deodorant, or perfume that could stain or scent the garment, which would make it ineligible for return. All original tags must still be attached.
Boots & Footwear: Boots are meant for walkin', but please test them on a clean, carpeted surface. We cannot accept returns on boots that show any sign of wear, including scuffed soles, creased leather from walking, or dirt/debris. Boots must be returned in their original, undamaged box.
Hats: Cowboy hats must be returned in their original, crush-proof box with all tags and inserts. Hats that are creased, stained, or misshapen from improper packaging will not be accepted.
Belt Buckles & Jewelry: Must be returned in their original packaging, untarnished and without scratches.
2. Non-Returnable Items
The following items are considered final sale and are not eligible for return or exchange:
Items marked as "Final Sale" or "Clearance."
Custom or personalized orders (e.g., custom-tooled leather, embroidered items).
Gift Cards.
Undergarments and socks.
3. How to Start a Return or Exchange
Getting your return started is easy:
Contact Us: Please email our customer service team at chicagostockyardstradingco@gmail.com within 30 days of receiving your order.
Provide Information: In your message, please include your Order Number and the item(s) you wish to return or exchange. For exchanges, let us know the new size or item you'd like.
Receive Instructions: We will reply with detailed instructions and a Return Authorization (RA) number. Please do not send items back without contacting us first.
Pack & Ship: Securely pack your item(s), including the original packing slip if possible. Write the RA number clearly on the outside of the package. Ship the package to the address we provide. We highly recommend using a trackable shipping service, as we are not responsible for lost or damaged return shipments.
4. Refunds, Exchanges & Store Credit
Once we receive and inspect your return, we will notify you via email.
Refunds: If your return is approved, a refund will be processed to your original method of payment within 5-7 business days. Please note, original shipping charges are non-refundable.
Exchanges: If you requested an exchange, we will ship your new item out as soon as your return is processed. If there is a price difference, we will contact you.
Store Credit: If you prefer store credit, we will issue a digital gift card to your email address for the full amount of the returned item(s).
5. Damaged or Incorrect Items
We take great pride in our products and packing process. However, if you receive a defective, damaged, or incorrect item, please contact us at chicagostockyardstradingco@gmail.com within 7 days of delivery.
Please include your order number and a photo of the issue. We will cover the return shipping costs and send you a replacement or issue a full refund right away.
A Final Word
The Chicago Stockyards Trading Company reserves the right to refuse any return that does not meet the criteria outlined in this policy.
